KEHK February 6, 2015

Today we listen to KEHK again, this time as it sounded in February of 2015. With the former PD and afternoon host moving to Bend, it was going to be interesting to see what would replace him, but to my dismay the station was running jockless in afternoon drive. Also, with the evening program they were running being canceled by Cumulus, they were running jockless from what appeared to be 3 P.m. to 6 a.m., and syndicated between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. When I heard the station in July, syndication had been put in afternoon drive and I didn’t get to hear the evening program, but Cumulus has replaced one syndicated program with another on most of its stations. That, and the Eugene Global Tuners node seems to have gone offline, is why you won’t hear another aircheck of KEHK next week. What does that mean for next week? Well, if you’ve been following the industry lately, you know that iHeart Media made some major changes to the Seattle market in January, and we’ve got the first airchecks to go online from those, at least to my knowledge and not counting the format changes. More on that next week, but for now enjoy, or be bored by, KEHK from Eugene. Oh and Maverick? you’ll hear him again soon enough.
